Let’s just get this out of the way, we hate this name.  It sucks.  It lacks any creativity, it lacks depth, its an anagram for its most blasé description:  Grapefruit Rye India Pale Ale.  It’s like calling your sandwich Ham and Cheese Sandwich.  Yeah it’s technically correct, but still…ANYWAY, we love, love, love this beer!  Once again, we started this recipe before we had ever seen this style on the market, but even now with versions of this available, we still contend this is the absolute best version out there and a top notch IPA in its own right.  In fact, we’re going to go ahead and call this the pinnacle of Grapefruit beers.  Go ahead, prove us wrong.  Maybe we should change the name to “champion”.  No, that name sucks too.  Screw it.  Try it, if you love it like we do and have a name suggestion, let us know, maybe we’ll change it an give you credit and you can brag to your friends you named the best grapefruit rye ipa ever.  We might even acknowledge it.
